Who we are
VoteCraft (“we”, “us”) operates a Minecraft server directory and related services. This policy explains what personal data we process when you use votecraft.example (replace with your production domain).
Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, and credentials managed by our authentication provider (Better Auth).
- Listing data: server names, addresses, descriptions, and links you submit for public display.
- Votes: we store the Minecraft username you enter, a hashed value derived from your IP address (not the raw IP), and your account id when logged in, to enforce limits (including up to three votes per IP per 24 hours and a 24-hour cooldown per username per listing).
- Payments: Our payment provider processes card and banking data. We receive payment status metadata (such as reference IDs and amounts) to apply the upgrades you purchase.
- Logs & security: our hosting and reverse proxy may log IP addresses, user agents, and timestamps for security and debugging.
How we use data
We use data to provide the directory, authenticate users, moderate submissions, run votes, fulfil paid upgrades, comply with law, and protect the service.
Cookies
We use session cookies for login. See your browser settings to control cookies.
Sharing
We share data with processors we rely on to run the site (for example your database host, Redis host, payment provider, and email provider if you enable email). We do not sell personal information.
Retention
We retain account and listing data while your account is active and as needed for legal obligations. You may request deletion where applicable law gives you that right.
